    2017 Drilling and Coring Summer Institute (DCSI)

    A low-cost, highly rated training course for young core-based researchers

The Drilling and Coring Summer Institute (DCSI) will be held at LacCore/CSDCO twice in summer 2017.  This two-week comprehensive course for grad students, postdocs, and early career researchers covers core-based field and laboratory techniques, logistics/budgeting/proposal preparation, broader impacts, software (CoreWall/Corelyzer, Correlator, PSICAT, TMI, etc.), geoinformatics, and much more. 

First session:  June 26 - July 7
Second session:  July 24 - August 4

15 participants will be admitted for each session.  The application form is available at z.umn.edu/dcsiapply.  The application deadline is 11 PM Central time, April 1.
